[PROMPT] CHOOSE A VIDEO (FLOW CONTROL IN PYTHON) FROM THE LIST THAT COMES UP THAT YOU MIGHT USE WITH YOUR LEARNERS AND WRITE A POST THAT ADDRESSES 4-5 OF THE PROMPTS BELOW.
“Basic Python for Beginner” is our Pod’s Interactive Learning Design subject. In this blog, I am going to provide an overview of the video and analyze one of the video tutorials in our “Basic Python for Beginner”: Flow Control in Python. The following analysis will cover what mode of interaction this video requires, what an expected learner’s response is, what activities a learner should do after watching this video, and how this video could improve. The following video is our selected Flow Control in Python tutorial [2].
Let’s start with a short summary of this video. Being one of our Pod’s “Basic Python for Beginner” video tutorials, this video explains the concept of Flow Control in Python including If-else statements, nested If-else statements, For-loop, While-loop, Break, and Continue syntaxes via verbal explanations and flow chart modules. In addition to the explanation of these syntaxes, it demonstrates to a learner how to write programming code for these syntaxes in Python. Ultimately, it executes the Python programming code and displays outcomes to a learner.
We learned an overview of this video, let’s begin our analysis. The minimum requirement that this video asks for a learner is to watch and digest the video contents. A learner may optionally take notes or write Python code while watching the demonstration. Since it is unlikely that a learner would master the tutorial concept by watching a video, I would highly recommend that a learner should review the content using other resources as well as find online related programming problems to solve after the lesson. Although this video demonstrates a clear concept explanation and many good examples, I would suggest that it should provide a few programming exercises for a learner to practice after watching it.
Overall, this video tutorial is a good resource to explore a flow control concept in Python. Nevertheless, a learner should go beyond the minimum requirements and seek for more practice to master this concept.
